    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:


    Private Practice Attorney and Of Counsel, Greater NYC and Omaha, NE, 1999 to present: Full service provided on all serious legal maters, with an emphasis on the problems of individuals with medico-legal concerns, hospitals, physicians, and other health care entities. Admitted to Nebraska Bar in 1994 and New York Bar in 2011. Served exclusively in a supervised Of Counsel capacity with a leading NYC metro law firm from November 2007 to January 2011 (under supervision of licensed NY attorneys). Brief-writer to the Nebraska Supreme Court for physician-defendant in appeal overturning the largest medical malpractice plaintiff's verdict in Nebraska history. Offering a wide range of health law services to hospitals, physicians, and ancillary health care entities, with focus on health law regulatory matters (e.g., HIPAA, EMTALA, False Claims Act and Qui Tam, Stark and anti-kickback statute, Medicare and Medicaid compliance), health care licensing and disciplinary matters, health department inquiries, health care transactional matters, medical insurance coverage questions, and litigation including medical products liability and medical malpractice defense. Available to provide assistance to other attorneys of record in complex litigation and sophisticated document review projects. Practice experience before the Nebraska Supreme Court, Nebraska Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and numerous county and district trial courts.

    Hon. Thomas M. Shanahan, U.S. District Judge for the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska, Omaha, NE, 1994-1995: Duties as a judicial law clerk included the preparation of draft opinions, orders, and jury instructions per direction of Judge Shanahan, analysis of briefs submitted to the Court, and consultations with Judge Shanahan re: legal basis for opinions, evidentiary rulings, sentencings and related matters.
